What is “Make Moments Memorable”?

Not everything in life contributes to great memories and good times. Occasionally the choices we make can lead us to a situation or time when we later ask ourselves: “What was I thinking?!”

Often those moments are a bit of an ‘LOL’ moment, other times they are a little more serious and the consequences a little more difficult to laugh off. Sometimes it can be the difference between having that last drink or not, walking out the door rather than staying to fight, or saying sorry rather than not backing down.

If you think you would like to talk to someone about any particular challenges you face, or choices you can make, then there are some really easy places to start.

Are you worried about your drinking or other drug use? Do you regret your behaviour when drunk or out of it? Do you want to make changes to the way you drink or use drugs? You may be surprised just how many of us actually feel like that.

Making the decision to cut down on your drinking and or other drug use is mainly about recognising how you or others feel about your drinking or other drug use.  You may want to take the Is your drinking okay (click here) test to find out more about your level of risk, or to talk to someone about your drinking call the Alcohol Drug Helpline on 0800 787 797.

Make Moments Memorable is about reminding us all that we are in control of many of the situations and all of the choices we make. Even when other pressures like discriminaton homphobia, transphobia, bullying and violence raise their ugly heads, we can still make some choices about how we react and respond.

We don’t always have to do it by ourselves either. Help is often not as hard to find or as difficult to get as we may think.

You may even want to have a confidential chat about how you can make more moments into great memories. 0800 OUTLINE (0800 688 5463)
